Overview Report

The Overview Report is a single report that gives a high level, interactive view of student results on an assessment.  The Overview Report will populate with data as soon as a student finishes their assessment. This is one of the more popular reports within Classify Learning because give a general performance overview of how students performed on an assessment.

The Overview Report can be accessed from either the Reports tab at the top of the page and clicking on the Overview Report tile, or from within a single assessment.

Accessing the Overview Report

  1. Click on the Reports tab.
  2. Click View Report on the Overview Report tile.

  3. Use the search bar to locate the assessment for which you'd like to view the report.
  4. Once located, click the Select button next to the assessment. 

Using the Overview Report

  1. Assessment Information: See the name, type, grade, subject level, and performance band for the assessment.  Click on the name of the performance band to view more information about the cut points for each level.
  2. Overall Results: See the average percent correct for the assessment overall as well as the number and percent of students who mastered or did not master the assessment.  Finally, see the number of students (based on user visibility) who are included in the report (click to view individual student results) as well as the number of students who still have assessments with constructed response items that need to be scored.
  3. Overall Results by Performance Band: View the number and percent of students who fell into each performance band level. Click each band to view the list of students in each.
  4. Results by Standard:
    1. Performance by Standard: View the number and percent of students who fell into each performance band for each individual standard on the assessment. Click to view the list of students who populate each performance band. Also, the dark blue bar indicates the average percent correct for each standard.
    2. Mastery by Standard: View the number and percent of students who mastered and did not master each standard. Click to view the list of students in the band.
  5. Results by Tag:
    1. Performance by Tag: View the number and percent of students who fell into each performance band for each individual tag on the assessment. Click to view the list of students who populate each performance band. Also, the dark blue bar indicates the average percent correct for each tag.
    2. Mastery by Tag: View the number and percent of students who mastered and did not master each tag. Click to view the list of students in the band.
  6. Lowest Performing Questions: View the (up to) 10 most missed questions on the assessment.  The question at the top had the lowest average percent correct.  Clicking on the question number (i.e. "Q3") will display the actual question for review.
  7. Filter Report Data: By default, all the students the user has visibility of inside Classify Learning who took the assessment will populate the report. For example, a district admin will see all students in a district who took an assessment, but a teacher will only see his/her students.  The Filter Report Data dropdown will allow you to view a subset of student results in the report, such as all students in a specific course, site, or a selected group of students. 
  8. Change Assessment: Use this option to select a new assessment within the Overview Report.
