Creating a Scannable Assessment

This page will talk about creating a scannable assessment.

From the assessment page, click the "Create Assessment" button to bring up the create assessment modal. From there, select the scannable assessment type.

Fill in the rest of the details for the scannable assessment and click the save button to proceed to the next step. Once a scannable assessment is created, all the assessment tabs will be the same except for the Questions tab and the Administrations tab

Adding Questions to a Scannable Assessment

Once on the questions tab, click on the "Add Question" button to bring up the add question modal.

On the add question modal, you can select between 2 question types, single/multi select or writing.

Single/Multi Select: This question type is typically referred to as your multiple choice type question. You can mark either one or more answers correct.
Writing: This question will capture a students writing response to be manually scored by the teacher. There are different sizes depending on the length of the response.

Once you select the question type, adjust the quantity for the number of questions you would like to add. You can repeat the add question step as many times as you need. After the questions have been added, you will be presented with our scannable question editor view.

This view will show you the available responses, standards and tags for your questions. For multiple choice type questions, we can simply click on the correct answer from this view to set the correct answer for the test.

If you want to edit additional details about a question, you can use the cog wheel on the right to show additional options available. When editing a question, an edit question modal will pop up with additional fields to change/modify.
