Presetting Individual Student Assessment Tools

If an individual student needs specific test tools and accommodations for every assessment they take in Classify, a teacher can pre-set the tools and accommodations for that student within their student profile.  These settings will override any assessment administration settings. For example, if a student always needs to have Text to Speech during their online assessments, it's simple to set ahead of time in the student profile! To access a student profile, click on the arrow next to the Manage tab at the top of any page, and select Search Students.



You will be redirected to the student search page. Once on the student search page, use the filters on the left to search for the individual student. Once you identify the student that needs accommodation modifications, click on the student name to access their profile.



Once on the student profile page:

  1. Click on the Accommodations tab.
  2. Calculator: Enable, disable or set to default for the calculator for all administrations.
  3. Rulers: Enable, disable or set to default for the rulers for all administrations.
  4. Protractor: Enable, disable or set to default for the protractor for all administrations.
  5. Extended Time: If a time limit is enabled for an administration, you can extend the time for all of those administrations by the selected value.
  6. Digital Notepad: Enable, disable or set to default for the digital notepad for all administrations.
  7. Strike Out: Enable, disable or set to default for the strike out for all administrations.
  8. Sticky Notes: Enable, disable or set to default for the sticky notes for all administrations.
  9. Drawing Tools: Enable, disable or set to default for the drawing tools for all administrations.
  10. Highlighter: Enable, disable or set to default for the highlighter for all administrations.
  11. Text Dictionary: Enable, disable or set to default for the text dictionary for all administrations.
  12. Picture Dictionary: Enable, disable or set to default for the picture dictionary for all administrations.
  13. Screen Mask: Enable, disable or set to default for the screen mask for all administrations.
  14. Translator: Enable, disable or set to default for the translator for all administrations.
  15. Text to Speech: Enable, disable or set to default for the text to speech for all administrations.
  16. Click on the Save button.
